I gave my PX-W2410TA to my ex-girlfriend in the meantime
(replaced it with a plex premium) and I found this drive to perform best (in terms of error correction) @ 4x CLV so this would confirm andre's original findings at the EAC website ... but there have been two hardware revisions of the 2410TA (one with active fan, one without - I got the later one without a fan) IIRC so this might be a possible reason for different behaviour (although I doubt this is the case).
If your drive performs best @ 24x, you are one lucky guy, though
