help with vbr and lame settings

hi, i am rather new to the eac/lame thing. I have really really tried to follow the vbr settings etc discussions on this board and on .hydrogenaudio and rp3mix etc....

to be honest they confuse the hell out of me. i read and read, but got more and more lost.

i am looking for a simple "do this"

I know I want around a 192kbs average for my mp3s, what exactly do i put in the eac - lame additional command line options?

    right now i have this
    --alt-preset standard%h %s %d

thanks for any guidance....hopefully before long i can understand some of this stuff!

    OK, here it goes....

First of all, please read the documentation!! (FAQ, for example) Here you can find that %s = name of source file, %d = name of destination file. These are only inportant when using the "User Defined Encoder". For making simple high quality mp3's, select "User Defined Encoder" (to make sure EAC only passes the specified command line) and enter --alt-preset standard %S %D in the additional command line. The %h switch is not neccesarry, it is only used when entering additional parameters when the high quality chackbox is on.
