    "nil dreference" at startup ?

    anyone know the ofset o sony crx140 with 1.0s as firmware ?
    i already checked the "satcp's user reported features"

    i dll. eac 09b4 and it doesnt get past the grey screen that says
    eac can't find a nil dereference at ### or something.
    what to do ?
    the audio "1" cd i have for offset reference is only in the database of eac09b4

    You should give the exact error message. This is an internal EAC error and it should end the program... So what happens and when?

    the error message in detail

    i run win98gold, with adaptec aspi 4.6.
    aspichk.exe says the aspi-layer should be okay.

    then using "eac09b4" upon startup a tiny wondow displays:
    "UNHANDLED EXCEPTION
    at Stream.13->NIL DEREFERENCE"

    then using "eac09pb11" upon starup a tiny window displays:
    "UNHANDLED EXCEPTION
    at Stream.117->NIL DEREFERENCE"

    then i dll. adaptec aspi 4.7 and the same error messages for each eac version displays again.

    i have no problem running 085b4.
    but 09b4/09pb11 has the cd in its database i need for determining read-offset for my sonycrx140 with 1.0s

    hope it is enough information and i want to thank you for bringing such software. it's top.

    One tiny little thingie that i actually don't mind or dont care about and is no problem cause eac is such a good working piece of software..
    can you optimize it so it doesnt occupy whole system when runnin ?
    i cant do anything else while eac is busy..
    (i have a amd p200 32sdram). could maybe be something to look at/optimize before you plan on selling the *gold* version.

    Then again thanks, hope you can help me.

    OOPS !

    OOPS !

    for eac09b4 the message is:
    "UNHANDLED EXCEPTION
    at Stream.134->NIL DEREFERENCE"

    (NOT "at Stream.13-> NIL DEREFERENCE")

    Is it possible that your computer has less than 64 MB RAM, or/and does not have virtual memory enabled?

    You may try to use an older version (0.85b4 or even earlier), they often need less main memory...
