What's the difference, with all these different ASPI's?

Question

I don't get this, I've been using EAC for the last 4 months no issues, all the sudden, I turned my PC on over the weekend and I can't get it to connect to the data base or extract the info from the CD.

I keep my computer locked, and I have not installed anything, what could be the issue? It's not my firewall either, I bypassed that, made no difference.
Everything in my system seems in place, what would change EAC from working?

When using a third-party CD recording program, you should disable XP's CD recording
program:

Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services and scroll down to "IMAPI CD-Burning COM
Service". Right-click on this service, select Properties and then select "Disable" under
"Startup Type".

This technique should resolve any conflicts between the two programs.
Thanks! This one finally did it for me. I am running Vista. There is no "IMAPI CD-Burning COM" on my computer but I did find "LightScribeService Direct Disk Labelling Service". I disabled that and now for the first time the EAC Configuration Wizard is able to Autodetect my CD drive. Here's hoping I haven't created any other problems! ( I haven't tried the "LightScribe" feature.)

I have downloaded wnaspi32.dll and also put it into the same folder as EAC. However, I can still tick that option in EAC as it it all greyed up. What am I doing wrong?

I have Windows XP Professional if that is of any relevance.
