MODERATOR, please make this STICKY and at the top. It will help A LOT in this forum.
www.digital-inn.de HOW TO REPORT PROBLEMS WITH EAC ============================= List your: 1. Operating System (example: Win98SE + all MS patches) 2. ASPI Layer (e.g. Adaptec 4.60.1021) 3. Type of cd-rom/cdrw/dvd-reader (e.g. Sony DDU-1621, firmware 1.06) 4. Bus type: ATA/EIDE 5. Chipset: VIA, SiS, Intel, etc (e.g. Via KT133A) 6. Version of EAC used (e.g. 0.94b) 7. What kind of error do you get (please be VERBOSE! If you get an error message, repeat it also) 8. Additionally, what EAC settings are you using under the "Drive Options" Don't be afraid if you don't know all of the above. The first two are probably the most important and it is almost impossible to help you unless you provide that information. If you don't know what an ASPI layer is, read this: http://aspi.radified.com/ or if that is down, read this: http://www.nu2.nu/aspi/ NB! If you want to install ASPI for your platform, I'm afraid there are NO clear cut solutions that work for every single configuration and platform (if there were, you wouldn't be reading this ![]() regards, Halcyon |

As usual, you hit it right on the head ... but most guests here are just too lazy to type in their sysconfig ... perhaps they should create a text file once and then copy & paste the info (could be used in other forums as well ...)
cheers baby ...

Just thought my thread about EAC For Newbies might be able to help people out.
http://www.digital-inn.de/showthread...threadid=14927 If one is having trouble getting EAC to work, I would suggest trying the 8 step installation that I created. In my guide I have the user download the Nero DLL to their EAC directory. Just wondering in which scenarios this wouldn't work? I'm trying to make it as easy as possible for newbies to get started with EAC, and have it automatically configure for the 'best' standard settings. chris |

Another great thing would be to post SatCP's page directly here ... http://users.pandora.be/satcp/
there you will find tons of good and valuable EAC info (as well as with the URL mentioned by chris before ... ) ... there is a user reported offset database for many drives as well ...
