It is the dead vs good CDR. I opened the two images in soundforge, looked for the same part, zoomed both, tiled windows vertically, then made a screen capture.
I imported the screen capture in Corel Photopaint (but Photoshop can do it too), selected the bad wave, copy-and-pasted it, replaced red with green, set its merging to "substract", and moved it over the good wav. Then conversion to 8 bits, and save as gif
The sample-level little zooms are from Samplitude.
