I use EAC's wav editor program frequently, mostly for editing audio that will be burned to cd. I like it, but it's quite slow since it works with the original wav file for each change, whereas Audacity makes a list of changes and only modifies the wav file at the end, so there's only one time-consuming task instead of many. I'd like to at least get comfortable using Audacity, but there's one major feature it seems to be lacking compared to EAC's wav editor.
One of the most useful functions that EAC's wav editor is that it shows markers on the boundaries of CD-audio sectors (588 samples = 1 CD sector; 75 CD sectors = 1 second = 44100 samples). I usually edit wav files that I want to eventually burn to cd, and knowing the edge of a sector is very useful.
My question is, does Audacity have any similar feature that can be turned on, to mark each multiple of 588 samples so I can cut and paste along CD-sector lines? I looked through Audacity's preferences menu, and couldn't find such an option. But I'm pretty new to the program.

Generally, I'd also be interested in comments from anyone who has used EAC's wav editor and has now used Audacity as well. What things improve? What is lacking? thanks.
