It would make it harder though, and make the log file more detailed.

Don't know if these were requested already, but I'll try.
  • If CRCs of Test & Copy mismatch don't write that "copy OK", is it really OK? Better give an option (optionally...) to rerip it with choosed mode (image, tracks) once more automatically correcting the log or maybe doing the correcting itself without asking anything (I myself have met lots of rips with mismatching CRCs...)
  • As an option: rip CDs with offset corrected according AccurateRip, if it contains simultaneous entries, let users choose the needed one, they differ only with physical offset that can be corrected easily
  • Make an option to check the CD, image, tracks with AccurateRip and make a log
  • Make an option to correct an existing rip (mounted image or opened WAV+CUE) with AccurateRip and also make a log of such operation and so on...

Maybe it was only the test pass that wasn't ok, so yes, the copy could be really ok.

I always thought that the messages like " Copy OK" or "There were errors" only refered to the actual Copy Pass... Was I wrong thinking that ?

Just discovered "Upper All First Characters". Would love to see it become a sticky setting. Thanks.

Well, I just want that the option "Retrieve UPC/ISRC codes in cue sheet generation" is checked by default.

Hi,
I enjoy EAC since years very much and am mostly satisfied with. I think, ripping is at a very high level/quality now and what still is missing (if anything at all) are all functions, that add more to the comfort-side of life, rather than the feature side.

Personally I do like very much programs, that are scriptable from the outside (any ex-AmigaOS users here?). Windows supports this through ActiveX/ActiveScripting/WindowsScriptHost. Applications can be script-hosts to themselfes but, via DDE, also act as ActiveX object to the outer world, making them available as sort of function library to any other program. While the latter one may not be so important, it could allow adding EAC into automated workflows. It that is "real world" enough to request for it seriously I do not think. But it may still be nice to script certain ripping jobs (the former), so they could be simply "applied", even in-row (for those, having more than one optical drive in the PC). Things like unattended testing, ripping, changing the drive, testing, ripping that one, doing things upon quality-conditions and then, finally, shutting down system or play a sound, etc.

Please, do not implement a binary module only API (aka "plugins"). This would mean, that any power-users, and these days many people can write at least one of VBScript, JScript, Perl, Python, Ruby, PHP, etc. would not really benefit from it.

I'd like to see the "external encoding jobs" list be a part of the main UI while ripping (job-control-center like) and have it behave differentley. It should not halt the encoding processing while it is open.

I think it would be nice to edit local FreeDB even when the CD is not inserted. Sometimes I find some error in titles but I can't correct it until I have CD in drive.

Display the Accuraterip track hash value in the log when the disc is not in the Accuraterip database.

Thanks

I suggest that the next EAC will name differently each cue file, according its type.

For example:

Single wav: 'Disc Tittle' [sw].cue
Noncompliant: 'Disc Tittle' [nc].cue

Thank you.

I would really love to see functionality included which:

1. lets you set the name for the Directory in which to extract files similar to the file name
2. lets you set the name of the playlist again similar

As an example, I keep my files in a Directory structure, much like \Music\<artist name>\<album name>\<tracks>. I name each album <Artist - Album Name> and each track <Track Number. Album Name - Track Name>. If this could be made configurable, much like the current config for extracted file names, that would be great...

Many thanks!

Not sure if this was already asked for but I'd be nice to have Unicode support for cue sheets.

Display an OK or a # in the CRC column based on a comparison of the current Read CRC and the Read CRC stored from the previous rip when there is no Test CRC. Another option is to color-code the Read CRC like dBpoweramp (green when the Read CRC matches the previous copy, red when it doesn't). It would be good to make mention of this in the log somehow as well.

Allow more than 80 characters long track TITLE in cue files. Now the track title is truncated to end with 3 dots (...) at 80 chars. Why?

OT: I hope Andre is doing fine, I mean it has been very quiet for a long time, no answers to forum posts & emails... + no sign of the next EAC update which was due to come out couple of months ago. Maybe it would be a good time to think about opening the development or at least "hire" new developers... EAC development has been stagnated for a long time now, dBpoweramp has gone past and... I hope that EAC will get to faster development quickly. I hate to say but EAC seems to be dying.
