Yes, the mean extraction speed (per track, preferably) is what I had in mind. This would be useful primarily for identifying problem track(s) on a CD after an unattended or background extraction has completed. Perhaps it could be used for other diagnostic purposes (e.g., testing the effect of certain settings on rip speed) as well.

I know it's a bit late, but how about an option to omit ID3v1 tags when creating ID3v2 tags?

Yes, it is too late for this version, as the translations are already in work (and this would need an option field)

Here are all my feature requests:

-burn to multiple drives (just like NERO) using CDRDAO (EAC doesn´t burn to my Pioneer 106D)
-delete cue and wav after burning is finished (just like DVD Decrypter)

-adding an ICON instead of having to do File/Load Cue Sheet
-adding an ICON for burning instead of having to do Burn/Write CD
-adding an option for setting a default burning speed, and that way avoiding the last screen just before writing.

Thanks again

i would like the option to completely bypass the external compressor options and use only command-line options, because unlike some guides say, they DO interfere with the command-line options. thanks in advance.

Indicate the status of "No use of null samples for CRC calculations" in the log, so when comparing two rips where this option was once set and the other time not set cannot lead to confusion (i.e. false positive of differing CRC).

I know that it was requested previously, but I really miss the native FLAC support in decompressing audio, CD burning, etc. As far as I know FLAC is the most supported lossless compression (by softwares and hardwares) so these functions would be very useful.

You can use WAPET for APEv2 tagging.

Configuration Example Link

Thanks! I know. I use a batch file that encode with lame and add ID3 and APEv2 tags with tag.exe.
But my wish is that EAC use lame_enc.dll with all options enabled and tag ID3 and APEv2 on the fly.

Hello Andre,

I would like to make a request for an "Album Artist" flag for passing tag info to an external encoder. Currently, there is only the "%a" flag for the Artist. For the filename structure we have both "%A" and "%D" available for Track Artist and CD Artist (i.e. Various Artist). Since "%d" is used already, how about using "%v" to send the CD Artist (i.e. Various Artist) to the encoder for tagging.

I am looking at making full images of my CDs, so I tested out command lines for CDs that contain tracks from a single artist, and CDs that have tracks from multiple artists.

I have to use two different command lines as I am embedding the CUE sheets. This one for single artist CDs:
-8 --cuesheet="D:\Music\FLAC Images\%a - %g.cue" --tag-from-file="CUESHEET=D:\Music\FLAC Images\%a - %g.cue" -T "artist=%a" -T "album=%g" -T "date=%y" -T "genre=%m" -T "totaltracks=%x" -V --delete-input-file %s

And this one for Various Artist CDs:
-8 --cuesheet="D:\Music\FLAC Images\Various Artists - %g.cue" --tag-from-file="CUESHEET=D:\Music\FLAC Images\Various Artists - %g.cue" -T "artist=%a" -T "album=%g" -T "date=%y" -T "genre=%m" -T "totaltracks=%x" -V --delete-input-file %s

If I use the former command line on a Various Artist CD, it cannot complete the encoding as it thinks the Artist is the Track Artist of the second track, not "Various Artists" as it is actually written.

Thanks,
kockroach
