I am using an older PC with 4yr old software. I did this as I could not connect my Plextor 230 to the new PC due to the use of different connectors. Can you please direct me to the problems with associated with using the Nero ASPI layer?
Cheers

Do you have "Use AccurateRip with this drive" ticked in "Drive Options -> Offset / Speed"? (just checking)

Do you have a firewall installed? Could it be that the firewall is blocking EAC?
I seem to have the same problem as Vortexman ... I get an error when I open EAC 'error reading online file etc ... unable to connect to accuratrip. Check internet connection etc'.
My internet connection is working, and moreover, under 'Drive Options'/ 'offset/speed', I can´t tick "Use AccurateRip with this drive"
I have a disc inserted that is listed on accurate rip.

Would appreciate advice as to how to correct this.

Cheers

I had that problem too, and I fixed it by configuring a proxy connection for AccurateRip. Do this in EAC via

Database --> Send AccurateRip Results... --> Advanced

and in the dialog that comes up near the bottom are proxy settings.

Lemme know if this helps...

OK, I am still having problems getting AccurateRip configured on my new computer.

I finally borrowed 10 CDs from a friend, and 3 of them turned out to be key discs.

So, AR did a series of offset measurements on them.

Attached to this post are 3 word docs that contains screenshots of all the dialogs that came up; please read these (sorry about using 3 files, but I had no choice due to the annoying 50 KB individual file size limit).

If I understand what the program is telling me, it look like each time that AR measured offset of a key disc, it got a different result (+1485, then +343, then 0). And all 3 results are different from the value stored in AR's database for my drive (+667). Since none of the offset measurements are consistent, my drive remains unconfigured for AR.

Is the above the correct interpretation?

Does it mean that my drive is crappy for ripping? It is a

Any hope or do I need to buy a PLextor?

No, it just means that you didn't find the correct configuration discs so far...
Try further (or just wait until you ripped enough CDs, perhaps every 10th is a configuration CD)

I have exactly the same problem. I have 3 different disks at which AccurateRIP configuration triggers. It always asks to insert another key disk, and always trigger again, either 'Ok' pressed or not.
Cold you please explain how should I insert disks (before/after/instead of 'Ok' pressed) and/or how it will behaviour when a 'correct configuration disc' inserted?
thank you in advance
