File Write Error
Running ExactAudioCopy on a venerable Windows98SE machine (because XP never supported my SCSI card), I have recently upgraded from V0.9 Beta 4 (22-May-2002) to V0.99 PreBeta 5 (4-May-2009) as I was told, in another place, that this would improve FLAC handling.
Anyway, V0.9 never gave me any problems, and still doesn't, but every time I try to extract anything with V0.99 the log reports "File Write Error". There is plenty of space, and V0.9 has no problems, but V0.99 isn't happy. All other messages indicate that the s/w thinks it's extracting OK, and even comes up with "Copy OK", though no files are created. The problem does not appear to relate to particular tracks, nor even to the number of tracks selected. If I use the "extract to MP3" button, the DOS box pops up to complain that the compressor can't find the file, then closes and EAC hangs. So, what am I doing wrong? (I haven't found anythiung to say that V0.99 doesn't work on Win98). Thanks, |
