    Heavier load

Recently installed the latest version of EAC and am wondering: are others experiencing slow menus, drawing artifacts on the screen, etc. with the new one? This machine isn't a slouch, but this app appears to have grown quite a bit bigger and slower since the 0.95b I was using.

    Update on this:

This app slows down any windows being opened in other programs. The entire system slows down as well. It's acting like a much larger program; is there something wrong with this build?

    Adding on to this:

If EAC development is going in any direction, please see if you can make this work like a normal Windows app.

On a dual core machine that's no slouch, with plenty of memory, it slowed the system down to 1998 levels.

Something is wrong with the method you're choosing to make the GUI parts of this app, as they run way too slowly for even a VB app.

Maybe someone in the F/OSS community who has experience developing Windows apps can be found. The ripping parts of EAC work great; it's the OS-y parts, including GUI, that are truly horrible.

It makes Microsoft Office look zippy... yikes!!!
