    Question removing hiss from wav files

    i'd like to remove tape hiss from wav files created from mp3's of an analog source. please give a newbie detailed instructions on how to remove the noise. thanks in advance

    First of all select a range that only has only noise (usually at the beginning or end).
    Then choose "Process Selection / Noise Profile / Get From Selection".
    Now you could select the part you want to denoise (all of the file?)
    and use "Process Selection / Reduce Noise"...
